The Ultra lineup could be huge

Author: Ryan Dragostinov

While the Christmas holidays edge ever closer, so do the classic end of year festivals - Falls, Corona sunsets, Field Day, FOMO... they have been running every year and their lineups are pretty decent to be fair. But there's one event which we haven't really seen before, not in Sydney, not even in Australia - Ultra Music Festival.

Ultra is somewhat a titan amongst international EDM festivals, with counterparts across the world and its most famous one being held in Miami. But unsurprisingly, we haven't seen it here yet.

Australia is no stranger to getting shafted when it comes to good lineups and there's a reason everyone says that the festivals are better overseas, we just can't seem to pull the same world-class acts that you see at events like Ultra Miami and Tomorrowland. But that might be about to change.

With Australia getting its first official Ultra festival in February 2019, we might just get a taste of what we've been missing out on.

Of course, looking at the previous Ultra Miami lineups, we won't be getting lineups that huge. Firstly, because the Sydney festival will only be a one day event (the second day being in Melbourne). Secondly, it's in Australia..

BUT, Ultra does events across the world, even Bali. Looking at the lineup above,
they got Hardwell, ZEDD and Kygo. Surely Australia's first ever Ultra is going to have a lot to live up to, fingers crossed they deliver.

Here are some acts we could possibly get:
Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, Tchami, Tiesto, and if we're extremely lucky, JOYRYDE.

That's all for today, stay tuned for more news to come
