Since being founded in 2003, Defqon 1. has been an annual music festival that takes place in Australia, the Netherlands and Chile. The music featured in festivals consists of Hardstyle, and when i say hardstyle i mean every type of hardstyle. 

• Hard trance
• Hard techno
• Hard house

You name it, we play it. In fact, when in the Netherlands  Defqon 1. has up to 14 stages and in Australia it has 7. The set list for the stages features the most prominent and relevant artists including well-established ones as well as up and coming ones too.

For Defqon 1 rookies - yes speaking directly to those of you who have yet to embark on the journey to infamous island with the sole purpose of conquering Defqon 1. land - you will never fully fathom the greatness that awaits you until you actually experience it.

WHAT TO WEAR

Defqon 1. is not as simple as a walk in the park. With up to 14 stages and several hours of dancing it is recommended that people do not turn up in the "10-inch stilletos". The most common and preferred shoe to wear to a Defqon 1. festival is a pair of Nike Air Maxes. 

There is no dresscode - in fact it is suggested that the crazier the outfit - the better your experience. The rave scene welcomes individuality and festival- comfort attire. 

WHAT TO DO 

The first and foremost rule is to enjoy yourself. Make sure to have your ears kissed by the magic of 150BPM. The atmosphere simply blows away individuals in astonishment of the adrenaline rush ignited within you when the sweet sounds of hardstyle blare through the human body's colossal sound system for the first time.  Hardstyle will be blasting in all its glory - so expect the constant chest-pumping vibrations fro the penetrating bass.
